Dream a Little Dream

Well the time has come where it is time to start making decisions.  Our life experience is made up of a series of choices.  Everything from what we choose to eat, to career decisions, travel decisions, business decisions, fitness goals and then there are passionate dreams.  So there is only so much time in a day and you have to be consciously aware of how you spend your time.  It’s super easy to get caught in the day in and day out of watching TV and house hold chores.

But if you want to do something other than spending time in front of the TV or folding laundry, then one must make big important decisions.  If those decisions are helping to bring a dream to life then I would say that is a worth while pursuit.

But what if you are knee deep in laundry or maybe your caught up in the day in and the day out of trying to raise a responsible Adult American.  That is the situation I am currently experiencing.  Raising a teenage girl is not easy.  It can feel like herding sheep at times.  And sometimes the little dog has to bark at the sheep to keep them on course.  (I’m really not a barker.  Although I am very good at barking, I highly despise it.  I’ve gotten very good at being outspoken and it’s not my favorite thing.)

So while herding sheep, how does one find time to pursue true passion?  My answer is just to do those things in daily small increments.  So maybe that might mean writing 20 minutes per day on something.  Gee that’s a great idea!!  So 20 minutes a day to write.  I think that’s really doable.  My problem is I have too many passions.

You never know I could become the triple threat.  Some may know what that means.  So maybe that’s it.  But either way I’ve committed to this Blog and I’m not going to give up just because sometimes, I am herding cattle.

(Note my daughter is not cattle obviously.  That was just a joke.  And if someone can’t get my humor, I totally understand.  I love my daughter to the moon.  She’s my greatest teacher and I am not sure why I was so blessed.  Love you little one.)

Also in the pursuit of my dreams these next few months are going to be very critical for everyone’s future.  So my hope and prayer is that all of us are super loving and kind to one another.  Especially me.  People can be harsh at times and I include myself in that.  I can be harsh because I’ve had to be tough for a long time.  So in any case let’s just all be nice to each other.  And I hope and pray that our love will transform all of the anger to love and joy.

Meditation On Twin Hearts for World Peace and Pink Lemonade

On March 25, 2017 from 12-3, there will be a Meditation for Twin Hearts which is a meditation that is practiced in all of the Pranic Healing Courses.  It is about 20 minutes long.  This meditation is based on the prayer of Saint Francis of Assissi and it blesses the planet earth with diving loving energy.  The reason for this event is because there are so many people that are frustrated and this is a way to learn how to redirect that energy into something positive and loving.  I wanted to bring all people together for this short time to learn ancient secrets that have now been revealed.

The event will consist of an Introduction to Pranic Healing  class which will be taught by my good friend, Lilia Afshary who is an amazing Pranic healer.  She has dedicated her life to sharing Pranic Healing with her city, Vacaville, CA.  I am forever indebted to Lilia for introducing me to Pranic Healing.  I first met Lilia at my yoga class.  She told me about the Meditation on Twin Hearts and I decided to check it out for myself.  She offers these free clinics where you can meditate and then get free healing. She does this as a service to the City of Vacaville and also Sacramento.  She has been doing this for at least 7 years that I am aware of.  She continues to bring classes to the area and she works very hard.  She has been doing this clinic for all of these years even though sometimes people don’t always come to the clinic. I remember going on several occasions and there would be 2 or 3 people.

Although the turn out to the meditations were sometimes small she did not let that stop her.  She organized trainings for healers.  Just to get together and talk about healing.  She did all of this out of the kindness of her heart because she wasn’t being paid for her time.  Even now when she gets love offerings for her clinics, she gives them to the Unity of the Valley Spiritual Center.  So I am forever indebted to Lilia for sharing Pranic Healing with me and the world.  Of course if you don’t know what the Meditation on Twin Hearts is all about then this may not make sense but once you experience it, then you will know what I’m talking about.  But once you’ve experienced the tremendous gift it is, then you will be truly appreciative of it’s inherent value.

Pranic Healing is based on the teachings of Master Choa Kok Sui.  They are ancient secrets revealed.  There are many classes that one can take. And I’ve taken several of them myself and they have truly helped me to heal my life.  I honestly don’t know where I would be had I not found Pranic Healing.  I was truly on a path of destruction, but thanks to this meditation, I was able to turn it around.  I will go into more on this in a later post.

After the meditation there will also be a class on Crystals and how you can choose a crystal.  The class will be taught by Maya WindDancer.  She’s very knowledgeable about crystals and their properties.  So crystals do have healing properties as well.  Did you know that crystals are used in the silicon valley to make computers and cell phones.  So if they can be used in technology then, you can surely use them to heal yourself.

The cost of this event is only $10 and the proceeds are going to an organization called Pink Lemonade.  Pink Lemonade is a non-profit in Solano County that assists cancer patients in Solano County.  They take cooked meals, give rides to patients and offer support groups and help people with yard work and other chores.

Also there will be a massage therapist, Patrick Hernandez, on hand to work out those aches and pains on a massage chair.  He is a really good massage therapist.  I’ve been to him many times and I know a good massage therapist when I feel one and he’s just fantastic.  So if  the meditation doesn’t make you want to go or helping cancer patients doesn’t make you want to go, go to get a massage from Patrick.  And all of his proceeds are going to Pink Lemonade.  Just saying, you won’t be disappointed.

Pranic healers will be available for healing as well in which, I am a healer as well.  So if you go, I might get to heal you as well.  So that would be wonderful for me as well to be able to heal you.  What can be healed?  Well the sky is the limit.  My favorite is to assist with stress reduction, insomnia, inflammation and any pain.  You have to experience for yourself to believe it.  It’s truly miraculous. The healing will be on a donation basis as well and donations go to Pink Lemonade as well.

There will also be essential oils, incense, salt and other small items for sale.  Everything that is for sale is going to be something that is good for you and the planet.  It will have something to do with healing.

The event is on March 25, 2017 from 12-3.  The event will be held at Dio Amore Dance Studio 848 Alamo Plaza in Vacaville, CA.  It’s between Rockin Jump and Imagine That tucked away in the corner.  My good friend and amazing dance instructor, Angeline has opened up her doors to me and my visions once again.  For that I am truly grateful and appreciative.  One reason I love Angeline is that she has always been supportive of me.  She’s confident in herself to watch other people shine.    And she is one of the hardest working people I know.  Dancing is not an easy job.  And teaching dancers is not easy.  I truly admire Angeline for her ability to break down a move over and over and over.  Although I will admit, I have gotten mad at her with some of her choreography.  My thoughts are, “Why do we have to do it AGAIN?”  I say that in my internal whiney voice.  But I keep working on it and working on it and then it gets easier and I get better.  So a good dance instructor is always going to push you a little bit more to get better and better and that’s what she does. And for that I want to thank you Angeline.

Creatures of Habit

Creatures of Habit

We’re all a little bit like animals. We’re just really smart animals. We tend to be creatures of habit. We eat the same foods that we like, we exercise in similar manner, we associate with the same people. We are creatures of habit. When it comes time to making changes whether it be cleaning up our diet or choosing to exercise, it can be difficult to know where to start. There are so many books and articles and professional consultants and nutritional theories that one can get a bit overwhelmed just thinking about making some changes.

Newton’s First Law of motion: “An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.” I remember discussing that in High School. I didn’t give it much thought at the time (imagine  a high school student not giving a subject much thought), but it really is true. When it comes to exercise, that law definitely comes into play. If one say commits to walking 10 minutes per day, chances are once you walk 10 minutes it will be really easy to walk another 10 minutes. Thus proving that Newton’s First Law of Motion is correct.

Take the example of going for a walk.  Now we know that walking has been proven to have many health benefits:
It maintains a healthy weight
Prevents or manages various conditions, including heart disease, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes
Strengthens bones and muscles
Improves your mood
Improves balance and coordination

Walking can really help you to get your head straight if you are having are experiencing stress or just feel moody or grouchy (I don’t know anything about that.). But it has been found to improve mental health, anxiety, depression especially if you can walk in nature. Green grass, flowers and trees has a calming effect on your body. So if one can commit to walking just 10 minutes per day then you can easily walk 20 minutes per day.

So perhaps one can decide to test Newton’s law of Motion.  So we know laws must be tested so why not go for a walk and see if you aren’t in a better mood and also get the wonderful health benefits that are your birthright. Spring is upon is in California and it’s time to awaken.  Let me know how your walk goes.
