A Grateful Heart is a Happy Heart

At this time of you gratitude is in the allegedly in the air. It is on everyone’s mind as they make Thanksgiving plans. But, have you ever given anyone a gift and never heard anything back? Does it make you want to rush out and get them another gift to throw into the black hole of disregard? Or when you give a gift and you get a big smile with a hug and a big “Thank You I appreciate that so much!! It was very thoughtful and kind of you.” Then they follow up with a text, email or a card to again say thank you. Which one of those people do you think is happy?

It’s not that everyone has to be happy or even that you have to receive gratitude but it works the same way with the Universe and with God. You see when you show gratitude what happens is that you change your vibration into a positive mindset. Things may not be perfect. You can actually be going through a very difficult time but still show appreciation for things.

How Does it Work?

I believe in whatever you put out comes back to you. And gratitude has been proven to shift your energy from negative to positive in the blink of an eye. You kind of have to experiment but it’s not going to just happen overnight. You have to PRACTICE it over and over and then it just becomes a positive way of viewing things.

How do you do it? Well you simply have to take a deep breath in and say silently to yourself, “I am grateful for my breath.” Then you start to play a little game I like to call, “What Gives Me Gratitude” It’s easy to play. You just silently repeat things to yourself that you are grateful for. It can be anything material or spiritual. It can be anything in, on or about your body and expanding out into infinity.

Every night before I go to bed I write down 5 things I am grateful for. I try to make it different things because who wants to be grateful for the same things over and over. After all variety is the spice of life.

It goes something like this. “I am grateful for my good health.” “I am grateful for my feet.” I am grateful for my fingers.” “I am grateful for books.” “I am grateful I have food to eat.” I am grateful for another day to be alive.” “I am grateful for freedom of speech.” “I am grateful for my family.” “I am grateful for my ancestors.” “I am grateful for healing.” “I am grateful for God.” “I am grateful for peace on earth.” “I am grateful for love.” “I am grateful for my family.” As you can see this can go on for quite a while. But I think you get the general idea.

So as you begin to be thankful, you begin to shift into a more positive mindset. You start to be a happier person in general and you begin to realize how very fortunate you really are. It really is a gift you give yourself and the people around you will be glad because you will just be happier in general.

What Is My Intention

What the heck is the purpose of this Blog anyway?  It may seem a bit scattered.  You see after working for so many years, I just had a lot of stored nervous energy that I had to get out of me.  So I was a bit wild and now I”m slowly starting to settle down.

Let’s see Singer: Check, Dancer: Check, Blogger:Check, Youtube Channel: Check… Need I go on?  I have decided that I was simply trying to do too much by myself.  I also am a Mama to a teenager and a puppy.  So I actually learned that I was over training and took some much needed time off from dancing and singing.

I decided that I had to give something up because it was just too much work.  So now I can make a conscious effort and decide with intention how I would like my life to flow.  And where is my intention?

With this Blog my intention is to share things that are eco friendly, affordable, healing in some way, things that are positive and things that allow me to express myself in a creative way.

Obviously I feel like this information is important stuff or I wouldn’t waste my time.  I  am a Libra which means that Lady Justice is alive and well in my blood.  I’ve always looked out for those that are less fortunate.  Those that have been victimized.  I’ve put myself in dangerous positions to help victims.  I don’t want to do that anymore but I feel like the information I am sharing will save our planet and that is my intention.  Our planet is just getting a little too hot.  So we need to cool it off a little bit.

I support Fair trade, sustainable and green living.  We can have a prosperous economy and still thrive.  There are many things we can purchase that are great for the planet and that are good for the economy as well.

    Vote with your dollars and support the businesses that are doing the right thing.

So the more we can implement the things I am describing here, the more we can help Mother Earth.  So if you can start sharing this information with your friends.  Or telling people about my Website.  I just need a little help from my friends.

Remember that the light will always overcome the darkness.  So keep that light within you and spread it everywhere.  There are many people suffering.  So let’s not add to it.  Be patient and kind with strangers.  Just smile, breathe and relax.  That’s all you have to do dear and please share this Blog.  Thank you and you are now my official favorite Earth Angel.

May only good come to you and remember as you do good, so you will receive good.  It just starts the cycle of giving and receiving.  So you would be giving me a tremendous gift along with Mother Earth and share this with your friends and family.  If I remind you of a friend, share it with them.

The Path of Least Resistance according to Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

Dyer for quite sometime.  I bought it years ago and it was on my book shelf for at least 5 years.  Then when I finally decided to read it I was only reading one page before bed.  So I have been reading this book for at the very least 1 year.  And if a better book comes along, I will drop this one so fast.

Something about the book is difficult for me because he challenges my thinking and of course I want to keep doing things the way I am doing them.  So if I find a great book on Essential Oils, I will drop this book so fast, it won’t even know what hit it.

But anyway Dr. Wayne W. Dyer has some amazing things to say and so when something is just like “Whoa!!”  I’ve just got to blog about it.  I can’t keep it to myself.  So my service is spreading these really profound concepts that can just be life changing.

So he talks about the Path of Least Resistance.  The Universe loves you so much and when you love yourself in the same proportion, then you are matched up with the field of intention.  You have opted for the path of no resistance.  As long as the ego is present, you’ll retain some resistance.  Take the path in which resistance is minimized.

The shape and quantity of your thoughts determine the amount of resistance.  Thoughts that generate bad feelings are resistant thoughts.  Any thought that puts a barrier between what you would like to have and your ability to attract it into your life is resistance.  Your intention is to live a tranquil life, free of stress and anxiety.  You know that stress doesn’t exist in the world, and that there only people thinking stressful thoughts.  Stressful thoughts all by themselves are a form of resistance.  You don’t want stressful, resistant thoughts to be your habitual way of reacting to your world.  By practicing thoughts of minimal resistance, you’ll train yourself to make this your natural way of reacting, and eventually you’ll become the tranquil person you desire to be, a stress-free person free of the “dis-ease” that stress brings to the body.  Stressful thoughts all by themselves are the resistance that you construct that impedes your connection to the power of intention.  

We’re in a world that advertises and promotes reasons to be anxious.  You’ve been taught that feeling good in a world where so much suffering exists is an immoral stance to take.  You’ve been convinced that choosing to feel good in bad economic times, in times of war, in times of uncertainty or death, or in the face of any catastrophe anywhere in the world is crass and inappropriate.  Since these conditions will always in in the world someplace, you believe you can’t have joy and still be a good person.  But it may not have occurred to you that in a universe based on energy and attraction, thoughts that evoke feeling bad originate in the same energy Source that attracts more of the same into your life.  These are resistant thoughts.  

Here are some examples of sentences on the PATH OF RESISTANCE, which are then changed to sentences on the path of least resistance.

I feel uneasy about the state of the economy; I’ve already lost so much money. I live in an abundant universe; I choose to think about what I have and I will be fine.  The universe will provide.

I have so many things to do that I can never get caught up. I’m at peace in this moment.  I’ll only think about the one thing I’m doing.  I will have peaceful thoughts.

I can never get ahead in this job.  I choose to appreciate what I’m doing right now, and I’ll attract an even greater opportunity.

My healthy is a huge concern.  I worry about getting old and becoming dependent and sick.  I’m healthy, and I think healthy.  I live in a universe that attracts healing, and I refuse to anticipate sickness.

My family members are causing me to feel anxious and fearful.  I choose thoughts that make me feel good, and this will help me uplift those family members in need.

I don’t deserve to feel good when so many people are suffering.  I didn’t come into a world where everyone is going to have the same identical experiences.  I’ll feel good, and by being uplifted, I’ll help eradicate some of the suffering.

I can’t be happy when the person I really care about loves another and has abandoned me.  Feeling bad won’t change this scenario.  I trust that love will return to my life if I’m in harmony with the loving Source.  I choose to feel good right now and focus on what I have, rather than what’s missing.

All stressful thoughts represent a form of resistance you wish to eradicate.  Change those thoughts by monitoring your feelings and opting for joy rather than anxiety, and you’ll access the power of intention.

Valerie back again.  Wow isn’t that just amazing.  We can change our negative scary thoughts into something positive.  My favorite is : I have so many things to do that I can never get caught up.  Man I say that a lot.  But who is keeping track that all this stuff needs to get done anyhow?  Nobody really cares.  There’s no inspector coming over anytime soon.  So I just need to calm the fuck down and just remind myself that I’m at peace in this moment.  I’ll only think about the one thing I’m doing.  I will have peaceful thoughts.
